Ian encountered Jesus and received a calling to ministry. Together with his wife Heather, he and some friends planted a church in Tyneside. This church, which became known as City Church in Newcastle, flourished in both size and influence during his 33-year leadership. Today, Ian serves as the Dean of Free Church Formation at Cranmer Hall in Durham.
